Caught in my Web

The jaystephens.com website is in the midst of a major, and long overdue, update. Check out the new Gallery images, updated Checklist, Bio, and more. I'll try and maintain it better from now on, I swear!

This may have been in the gallery already for ages, but I'm just noticing it for the first time. Jay, what it this? http://jaystephens.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=17

I recognize the Quirk and the Green Rocket, but I don't think I've seen any of the others before.

Believe it or not, we were very close to having an Atomic City Roleplaying Game, and the image you've pointed out was from that project. I even had artwork contributed by friends like Paul Pope, Darwyn Cooke, J. Bone, Cameron Stewart, Dan Brereton, and Nick Derington. Just one of the dozens of cool projects I worked my butt off on over the years that never saw the light of day.

Ah, gotcha. I remember hearing about that project a few years ago. (May have been that Derington told me about it over lunch sometime.) That's too bad, sounds like it would have been one attractive package!

Looking good! Nice to see Sats stuff in there now, too. And the CN Action Pack in the checklist helps a lot.

I also must add now that I never really got the chance to watch Tutenstein until just recently but the few episodes I have seen so far were really fun. Set is also awesomely creepy. :D

Eep! I meant "Green Torpedo," of course, not "Rocket." I blame early senility...

"Where Lies the Engulfer." I probably won't remember all the things I thought of saying while watching this episode. For one thing, I thought it would've been a good episode to call "Something in the Water," eh? Also I thought Doyle and Zak should've had a safe word established before the deception started. I mean they gotta know the odds are high that weirdness would find them and it'd be important to be able to automatically abandon the test and work together. I did wonder why the water had never attacked Doyle before, so I was glad to see that explained, although I still wonder why he never saw any warnings left by the townspeople. I loved Zak's line "Does your brain actually think in cheesy one-liners?" Also it was cool to see micro-cryptids, though when they used cement on the lake I did think it was unlike the secret scientists to kill cryptids. Once Zak and Doyle escaped, they probably should have just set up a quartantine. Still, a pretty cool ep.

Have you heard about the Artic Goo? They're trying to say it's just algae.

First time I come across your site & blog. GREAT STUFF!!!
I became a fan of the Secret Saturdays since I watched the first episode. Love the retro style look of the show. GREAT WORK, my friend.

So , what do you think about mystery ? What if you in the past , has sent you a not from the past. What would you think ? What if you sent a note to your future self in the past and you do not remember ? Let's share your idea..
